Footwear is in our blood! Our footwear roots can be traced back to 1841. DB Shoes Ltd was founded in 1920 in Northamptonshire, after our grandfather and his identical twin brother returned from the 1st World War and started DB Shoes Ltd.

Today, we are best known for our manufacture of comfortable, quality footwear in a variety of extra wide fittings. Indeed, no other British company offers a greater range of fittings for wider feet.

END OF AN ERA -
UK PRODUCTION CEASES

We have manufactured shoes in Northamptonshire for over 100 years, but sadly have had to recognise that the support infrastructure is no longer available in the UK to manufacture the footwear demanded by today's consumer.

The company has imported shoes for many years to supplement its UK made range so though this is an end of an era for the family, for the business it is a continued adaption to the world it finds itself in. The majority of the company's employees have been re-trained in the future skills needed for the future direction of the business.

TODAY

This transition ensures the company can maintain up to date styling, access to the latest materials and have access to the latest manufacturing techniques allowing it to develop the best range of shoes for its customers' needs.

Design, customer services, quality control and warehousing remain at its historic Rushden site.
